Student Awards

Thespian of the Month

This award recognizes a student who embodies the thespian motto, which is "Act well your part; there all the honor lies."  Students may be nominated by a troupe director or by a fellow thespian. Nominees must be an inducted Thespian or Jr. Thespian with an official Indiana Thespian Troupe.

Winners are selected by the STO commitees based on the received applications and announced monthly on our social media. This is a rolling application, so nominations can be made at any point in the year. Nominate a deserving student to be Indiana Thespian of the Month using the link below!

Distinguished Senior Award

The Distinguished Senior Award is presented to a Senior inducted Thespian who is nominated by their Troupe Director. Each Troupe may nominate one senior each year.

All nominations are evaluated by adjudicators outside of the Indiana Thespians organization to name a winner. ​The chosen winner is presented with a plaque at the State Conference.

Thespian Scholarships

​Each year seniors who are inducted Thespians may audition to receive a share of the $4000 in scholarships awarded by EdTA and Indiana Thespians. For more information, visit the Scholarships page of our website.
